Here is how you can fix your leaky showerhead:
Eliminate the Shower Head
Ensure the shower handle is entirely in the OFF position. No water should spill out of the showerhead.
Manually eliminate the showerhead by winding down counterclockwise the strung finish of the shower arm. If you need help, utilize a towel to grasp the showerhead. In some cases, it could be essential to use channel lock forceps to eliminate the showerhead, but this typically requires an exceptionally old, eroded shower head that is best replaced.
Examine and Clean the Shower Head
Inside the showerhead will be elastic O-rings and a screen, and maybe other parts. Ensure that they are unblemished and not damaged or impeded with silt. If the inside of the showerhead is dirty, clean your showerhead by lowering it in a bowl of white vinegar for a little while. Flush the parts off with cold water before reassembling them.
Wrap Pipe Threads
Clear off the strings of the given arm with a bit of scrub brush, then wrap the thread with a couple of circles of string fixing tape, sometimes sold as Teflon tape. Envelop the similar tape way as the threads—clockwise as you look at the finish of the shower arm.
Reassemble the Showerhead
Reassemble the showerhead back onto the shower arm and fix it the hard way. Turn on the shower fixture momentarily to observe how the water stream performs.
If the showerhead keeps on spilling only when the faucet is ON, you can think about replacing the whole showerhead.
